Where it starts
"Our team firmly believes that harmful mindsets such as 'boys will be boys' and 'he's only doing it because he likes you' are not inherent behaviors, but rather learned attitudes that often begin on the playground. These ideas normalize inappropriate actions from a young age and contribute to a culture that excuses harmful behavior instead of addressing it.

Why do we do this
Given the stigma that often surrounds discussions of violence against women, our goal is to create a space where we can comfortably raise awareness. We aim to highlight the importance of this issue and bring attention to its root causes, particularly within younger audiences, in hopes of fostering greater understanding and positive change.

Peer Lead
Our research has shown that students tend to learn more effectively and relate more deeply to speakers who are their age or peers. They are more likely to understand and connect with the perspectives of their friends, as opposed to those of an adult authority figure.

what do we do
Our goal is to encourage healthy, peer to peer conversations that address violence within schools and explore actionable steps students can take to improve their learning environment. To support this mission, we host seminars and invite student speakers from various schools to share insights and foster dialogue on how we can create safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone.
